The API Reference provides details on each of the API Calls that make up the DNA Library.
In a typical implementation, you would use the following calls:
| TurnKey (Do-All) Activation |
Custom Activation |
StreamLined Activation |
- DNA_SetCDMPathName
- DNA_Validate
- DNA_ProtectionOK
- DNA_Deactivate
- DNA_Param
- DNA_Error
|
- DNA_SetCDMPathName
- DNA_Validate
- DNA_Query
- DNA_Activate
- DNA_ReActivate
- DNA_Deactivate
- DNA_Param
- DNA_Error
|
- DNA_SetCDMPathName
- DNA_Validate
- DNA_Activate
- DNA_Deactivate
- DNA_Param
- DNA_Error
|
The general syntax when using the API is:
errNo = DNA_Activate(Product_Key, Activation_code, Password, Email)
Most of the DNA API Calls return an "integer" as an error code, with ERR_NO_ERROR(0), indicating success.
See DNA Error Codes
for details and descriptions.
DNA_Param and DNA_Error API calls will return either a string or a buffer
depending on the coding language. See the
respective API description for details.
We fully test all the API calls and the interface libraries provided with the DNA Library ZIP packages for the different
OS Platforms (Windows, MAC OSX, LINUX, Android), for 32-bit and 64-bit and across different Development Environments (IDE)
and programming languages. These include:
- Lazarus (FPC) - Pascal
- Visual Basic
- C, C++, ObjectiveC
- Java Standard Environment
- .NET VBasic
- .NET C#
Code samples for several programming environments are available for download
under the Resources -> Code Samples menu of the DNA Control Panel.
Tests are done on the major releases of the OS’s as soon as possible. Consult the ONLINE HELP of
the DNA Control Panel for details, or ask our Technical Support for guidance.
