DNA_Reactivate() API

DNA_Reactivate(Product_Key, Activation_Code, Password, New_Password)

Parameters Description
<Product_Key>

The <Product_Key> of your DNA Product.

The <Product_Key> is emailed to you when you create a Product in the DNA Control Panel and is available under Product Configuration in the DNA Product Control Panel.

<Activation_code>

The License Code to re-activate, provided by the User

<Password>

The current License Code Password, provided by:

  • If Product uses "User Authentication" option, then provided by the User
  • If Product does not use "User Authentication" option, then a hard-coded default Password used for all Licenses for this Product
<New_Pasword>

Value depends on the License Type:

DNA_Query returned "ERR_REACTIVATION_EXPECTED(9)"

Applies to:

  • Single-User / Multi-Computer with Roll-Over Re-Activation

A "New and Never Used Password" provided by the User

DNA_Query returned "ERR_REACTIVATION_EXPECTED_MU (20)"

Applies to all other License Types:

  • Single-User without Roll-Over Re-activation
  • Single-User without User Authentication
  • Multi-User
  • Floating

Value should be <Blank>

Use the DNA_ReActivate API Call to:

  • Activate an additional computer for a Single-User / Multi-Computer License, or re-activate an existing computer
  • Activate an additional seat for a Multi-User or Floating License, or re-activate an existing Seat

On success, a new CDM License File, or updated CDM License File is created on the User’s computer as specificed by the DNA_Set CDMPathName API Call.
