DNA_SetINIPathName() API

DNA_SetINIPathName(Path_Name)

Parameters Description
<Path_Name>

Path and Filename of the location where the "DNA.INI" Settings file containing Proxy Server settings will be stored on the User’s computer.

Example (Windows):

C:\Users\Public\Clock_Demo\DNA.INI

Notes:

  • With Version 5 or later of the DNA Libraries, <PathName> must be encoded in UTF-8.

  • Do not use a Filename with the ".LIC" or ".CDM" extension as they are reserved.

For list of Error Codes and descriptions, see DNA Error Codes    .

The DNA Library will automatically capture and use the Proxy Settings of the brower or Internet Explorer on the user’s computer. You can use the DNA_SetProxy API Call to override this default and have proxy settings stored and recovered from a separate "DNA.INI" local file created at the location set by the DNA_SetINIPathName

This should be used if the software will be running in "Service Mode".

See Running in Service Mode    .

The DNA_SetINIPathName API call should be called before the DNA_SetProxy and DNA_Use_IESettings API calls.

The location and name of the "DNA.INI" defaults to "DNA.INI" and the same location as the DNA Library.
