WEB_Query() API

For an Application using the Custom Activation method, use the WEB_QUERY API to get the status of the License Code provided by the User, and to determine the license type of the License Code and if it needs to be Activated or Re-Activated.

Results from WEB_QUERY API:

errNo = 8 (ERR_ACTIVATION_EXPECTED)

This is the initial activation of the following license types:

  • a Single-User / Multi-Computer license with the "Roll-Over Re-Activation
errNo = 9 (ERR_REACTIVATION_EXPECTED)

This is the activation of an additional device or re-activation of a device for the following license types:

  • a Single-User / Multi-Computer license with the "Roll-Over Re-Activation
errNo = 19 (ERR_ACTIVATION_EXPECTED_MU)

This is the initial activation of the following license types:

  • a Single-User / Multi-Computer license without the "Roll-Over Re-Activation
  • Multi-User License
  • Floating License
errNo = 20 (ERR_REACTIVATION_EXPECTED_MU)

This is the activation of an additional device / seat or re-activation of a device / seat for the following license types:

  • a Single-User / Multi-Computer license without the "Roll-Over Re-Activation
  • Multi-User License
  • Floating License

Based on the result of the WEB_QUERY code, additional information will be required from the User.
