DNA_SetProxy() API

DNA_SetProxy(Server, Port, Username, Password)

Parameters Description
<Server>

The Proxy Server name to be used, provided by the User.

<Port>

The Proxy Port to be used, provided by the User.

<Username>

The Username to be used to access the Proxy Server, provided by the User

<Password>

The Password to be used to access the Proxy Server, provided by the User

For list of Error Codes and descriptions, see DNA Error Codes    .

DNA_SetProxy will store the Proxy Server settings provided by the User in a local "DNA.INI" file, stored on the User’s computer in the location set by the DNA_SetINIPathName API call.

DNA_SetProxy, if used, should be called just after the DNA_SetINIPathName API call , and before all other API Calls.

The DNA Library will use the following Proxy Settings when communicating with the DNA Servers:

<Default>

By Default, the DNA Library will use the defined browser Proxy Server settings (ex: Internet Explorer settings).

DNA_UseIESettings(1)

If DNA_UseIESettings was used with a value of "1", then the browser Proxy Server settings will be used (ex: Internet Explorer settings)

This is the same as the "Default" scenario.

DNA_UseIESettings(0)

If DNA_UseIESettings was used with a value of "0", then the Proxy Server settings included in the local "DNA.INI" file will be used.

See Help with Proxy Settings and Firewalls    .
